I am supposed to be in Nevis today. Yep. I am supposed to be basking in the sun securing a tan for my upcoming role as Mother of the Bride. Instead I am hiding away in the studio steadfastly refusing to turn on the heat. A hurricane swept over the Caribbean this past weekend. Damage was minimal, but here I am still in New Hampshire. Looking for solace, I started a search to lift my spirits. I remembered these delightful paintings by Kimberly Applegate.
Kimberly paints chairs. Boy does she paint chairs. Her paintings, and her paintings within paintings are delightful. Kimberly also participates in Daily Painters. Daily Painters is a collection of artists who complete a painting each and every day.
As a designer and painter I have found it fascinating and intriguing to recognize some of my favorite furniture designs, fabrics and well known works of art.
